Our canvas dog training dummy range consists of several canvas dummies, these generally vary by size, there’s the puppy dummy that weighs 150 grams and is ideal for early stages of retrieving. Next up is the 1/2 lb gundog training dummy, made from tough, durable, waterproof 15oz duck cotton canvas for longer lasting use, and are filled to give the correct feel to the dog’s mouth. The same canvas is also used on our 1lb training dummy, all these dummies include a throwing toggle for ease and are available in various colours.

There’s also Dog & Field’s Ultra-Light Training Dummy, this lightweight canvas dummy weighs just 185g, but crucially has all the characteristics of a traditional 1lb gundog training dummy as it is still 1lb in size. No loss of distance will be experienced when throwing the dummy due to its carefully distributed weight, combined with its long throw cord and ergonomically designed easy grip ball toggle.
